The MBTA bus was traveling on Morton Street when a passenger vehicle abruptly turned into the bus's lane, causing the two vehicles to collide at around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, according to Richard Sullivan, the Superintendent of the Transit Police Department.
The bus then swerved to avoid further collisions, Sullivan said. In the process, the bus smashed through a fence around Forest Hills Cemetery.
Six total injuries were reported, including four passengers on board the bus and two from the other involved vehicle. All injuries are non-life threatening .
The incident remains under investigation.
